New transformation & change comms roles

New insights

  • “Remote and hybrid practices have created a delicate balancing act between corporate culture and employee morale, which presents internal communicators with the opportunity to redefine the future of work and their role in it,” say the authors of this USC Annenberg/IABC study on remote/hybrid and the impact of internal comms. Check out the helpful thought starters. (from June, so maybe ICYMI)

  • “A ‘barrage’ of AI-powered applications had led to more than double the number of candidates per job,” says this report from the FT, which also notes that ~50% of job seekers use AI as part of their job search. This LinkedIn news roundup has some helpful tips and perspectives on how to navigate.

    • FWIW, I think this underscores the essentials on resumes/applications: a clear value prop, show your impact not your activities, do all the ATS formatting things, tailor it to the job…and use AI as an aid, not a tool to spam the world with your CV (which probably won’t work out in the short or long term 🙂).
