New transformation & change comms roles

New insights

  • The Page Society released a report about how the chief communication officer (CCO) role has expanded over the last five years. Nothing shocking in this one, but worth a read to get a sense of how c-level communicators are thinking about their role (and, perhaps inferring from their priorities, their teams).

  • “Gallup comprehensively ignores and dismisses differences in employee motivations,” says Mike Klein in Part 2 of his broadside on certain engagement surveys (from the Mister Editorial newsletter).

  • Over at The Switchboard, there’s a nice profile of Blythe Yee, VP of Employee Communications and Engagement at Freshworks, who has been at the forefront of evolving internal comms for 20+ years. She just taught USC’s first-ever employee comms course, too.
